Galvanized Net Spike Cable Guide:
  • Galvanized Net Spikes are used as Cable Guides on solid concrete, cement and stone surfaces.

Galvanized Net Spike Cable Guide installation specs
  • For solid concrete, cement and stone.
  • In solid stone or concrete surfaces, drill ¼” diameter hole, 1-1/4” deep.
  • Clear dust out of the hole and apply a small quantity of adhesive in the hole.
  • Make sure the eyelet of the Galvanized Net Spike is aligned so the cable will pass cleanly through the eyelet. Using a hammer, drive the Galvanized Net Spike into the hole until seated.
  • If installed properly the cable will be within ½” of the installation surface.
When and Where to Use the Galvanized Net Spike Cable Guide:
  • The Galvanized Net Spikes are designed to be used as Cable Guides in solid concrete, cement and stone surfaces. Used with the tensioned perimeter cable systems used to secure bird netting enclosures and with overhead grid wire systems.
Galvanized Net Spike Cable Guide Installation Tips:
  • When drilling the ¼” diameter holes, always use a hammer action drill and quality masonry drill bits. Always have more drill bits than what you think you need.
  • Apply adhesive into the drilled hole before installing the Galvanized Net Spike.
  • Make sure the eyelet in the Galvanized Net Spike is aligned with the path of the cable. You will not be able to turn the Net Spike after it is installed.
  • The Galvanized Net Spike is for solid masonry surfaces ONLY. Do not attempt to install in hollow block, thin slab concrete or cast concrete shapes with heavy aggregate. Contact Nixalite of America Inc for alternatives on these surfaces.
  • IMPORTANT: Always make sure the the surface will support the tension from the cable system. Do not attach corner hardware to surfaces in poor condition or where there is no structural support.
  • Always follow the Cable and Cable Hardware maintenance schedules available from Nixalite of America Inc.
