Ease of Installation
New construction is a breeze. For straight forward installations in existing construction, the 1/16" smaller port slips quickly and tightly inside the in-wall duct. A caulk bead will usually be enough to finish the job, but there are hidden fastener holes for fast installation using four screws. For challanging installations, where more space is needed to fasten on wider openings, the 6WV's chassis separates revealing additional fastener holes that are further toward the edges of the body.

Durability
Tough-as-Nails deep-draw construction ensures long duty life. The body is made of heavey-gauge Galvalume® steel. Combined with dense powder coating, premium wall vents are corrsion resistant and impervious to sun and heat effects. (Unlike plastic vents)
Superior airflow efficiency is achieved with a large clean opening and lighter Galvalume® angled damper. Integrated rubber damper bumpers help for a quieter closing and help prevent intrusion.

The No-Collar version is the perfect solution for tough installations. It requires a a bit more care in caulking or sealing but offers the same benefits as the collar version.

You might need a No-Collar vent when dealing with masonry or thick wall venting applications, or when the standard collar doesn’t fit the specific requirements of the installation space. It’s also useful when you want to maintain the aesthetics with a flush install and ensure the maximum airflow efficiency.

If you have a tight space or need a flush mount for aesthetic reasons, a No-Collar vent might be more suitable.	For Masonry or thicker walls, a No-Collar vent can provide a better fit.	Collar vents are generally easier to install, especially in new construction as they quickly connect to the ductwork.	Ensure that the vent you choose complies with local building codes. Rigid metal vents are often recommended for their safety and efficiency.
